Guo Lao Shi, our main volunteer in China, along with former president of Zhong Mei Ai Xin Hu Laoshi and his son, visited some poor high school graduates in Ningguo on July 19. Here is a brief summary of her visit.

 
Her parents divorced when she was very young. She lives with her father. Unfortunately, her father got serious kidney disease, and could not do hard labor. After failed treatment in Ningguo city, her father went to Nanjing to get better treatment at help of relatives. Both she and her father cried while talking about experience. She was accepted to Hefei Institute of Science and Technology (3 year college) majoring in nurse.

She lives with her aged grandma of 85 while her father of over 50 drives taxi to support the family.

Her parents divorced when she was very young and she has not seen her mother ever since. No support from her mother either. She was brought up by her grandparents with help of her aunt and her grandpa passed away later. Her father has stomach problem and will have surgery this summer. Her old house was too dangerous to live and had to build a new house with over $20K debt. She was accepted to Hua Bei Technical University.

She lives with her aged grandma, her parents, and her disabled older sister. Her parents work in field and her father does odd jobs locally to support the family. She was accepted to Chi Zhou College, majoring in electronic commerce.

He lives with his grandma and his father. Her mother left them when he was very young.

They live in a very rural villege, and depend on Pekannuss for living. His grandma has chronicle disease. Her family still have debt from rebuild their house. He is quite mature. he was accepted to a professional three year college (Ma An Shan Vocational College) majoring in Car Repair. He wants to learn good technique to support his family and not to go back to his villege for living.

She lives with her parents in Ningguo city for her high school study while her grandparents still lives in the rural villege. Her mother often faints and cannot work. She is not healthy either, but she was outstanding in school and was accepted to Sichuan University.
Her parents divorced when she was very young. She lives with her mother. Her father was remarried and did not have money to support her tuition, just a few hundred Yuan RMB to her for living expense. She was accepted to Anhui Normal University majoring in Geography.
She lived with her grandparents after her parents divorced when she was very young. Leter her grandma had grave disease and all depend on her aged grandpa's odd jobs. Later, her father came back with her step-mother and half sister. Unfortunately, her father lost over $20K in contracting construction work. Now her father did work for a supermarket and worked at a Slaugherhouse, to support the family and to pay down the debt. She will be accepted to a university.
Below: She lives with her parents and younger brother who was born with premature birth and severe asphyxia. Her mother takes care of her and her brother and cannot work outside. Her father got injured in a car accident and has not been fully recovered.
